KOKESHI the name given to the doll is Temari due to the fact that she is playing with a 'temari' ball. the kokeshi depicts a little girl wearing a white kimono, decorated with a flowering plum branch, and has a temari in her hands as a toy. Kokeshi in wood, hand painted and carved by a Japanese craftsman, who signed it, the signature can be seen on the back. A fine example of Japanese craftsmanship to collect.
