Furisode e Houmongi
The Furisode is one of the most beautiful among the kimono variants, it is a Japanese masterpiece in pure silk, traditionally very rich in colors and lively designs with sleeves up to 107 cm long, it is worn by young unmarried girls ready to get married, worn in formal way for the coming of age ceremony, at weddings of close relatives and tea ceremonies. Furisode means: furi, fluttering and firm sleeves.
The Houmongi are the kimono used by both unmarried and married women for ceremonies such as weddings and formal visits, the translated word means visiting dress, the decorations of the houmongi are positioned on the shoulders, on the sleeve and just below the belt all the way down.
